Startup Benjamin and SimPlan cooperate in the implementation of fluid logistics.
The revolutionary “Fluid Logistics” technology developed by Benjamin enables flexible material flow and compact storage. The technology, which is based on magnetic fields, allows the transport of almost any material without the use of conveyor technology or driven elements such as automated guided vehicles.
The Chinese company Henderson Group from Hong Kong recently invested in the startup and thus enabled a significant acceleration of the development work and implementation of initial pilot projects in China and Germany.
In addition to the constructive development of the technology, fluid logistics systems require intelligent control systems in order to make efficient and optimal use of the flexibility offered. For this, Benjamin relies on the use of simulation.

When it comes to using this new technology, we can use simulation models to evaluate its advantages as well as develop suitable control strategies. At LogiMAT 2018, SimPlan will present results from research work and pilot projects of fluid logistics. “We are convinced that this technology will permanently change intralogistics. That is why we are working intensively with Benjamin on the further development of wearable control concepts. In initial projects for the automotive industry, we were able to impressively demonstrate the advantages of the system in simulations. The first implementations are imminent,” says Dr. Sven Spieckermann, CEO of SimPlan AG, describing the motivation of the simulation service provider.
