Do you know InkA? No? That’s our favourite project this year.
InkA Wetterau gGmbH supports young people with disabilities on their way into working life. InkA is committed to inclusion in practice and helps young people with disabilities to find a place on the primary labour market. Young people with skills that would otherwise be excluded from the labour market, as their path usually leads to workshops for the disabled.
InkA has developed the lighthouse project “alternative vocational training”, abBi for short, which is unique in Hesse. As part of this project, abBi participants gain insights into various professions through long-term internships and receive support in finding permanent employment. Employers are also supported in dealing with the mostly new field of inclusion.
Since InkA was founded in 2017, many young adults have already managed to enter the primary labour market in this way. They have found a suitable position and received a follow-up contract from the company.
InkA Wetterau gGmbH works on a voluntary basis. So it was important to us to support this great project this year.
