Branch Office SimPlan Dresden
The IKA Dresden (Institut für Konstruktionstechnik und Anlagengestaltung – institute for construction technology and plant design) was founded in 1992 as a private research centre by Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Joachim Hennig and became the latest member of the SimPlan group on 1st October 2015.
The IKA Dresden specializes in the analysis and optimization of complex manufacturing and packaging systems for the food, beverages, pharma and cosmetics industry. It supports system manufacturers (suppliers) and system operators (users) of processing and packaging facilities in optimising the design and efficiency of their systems by offering weak point analyses, simulation studies and improvement strategies.
Furthermore, the IKA Dresden developed the industry-specialised simulation tool PacSi and uses it to analyse and layout complex packaging systems.
