FachPack – trade show highlights of SimPlan AG: Simulation software products for the effective simulation and emulation of plants
IKA Dresden, the newest member of the SimPlan group, presented the latest version of its Pacsi industry simulation system, especially for processing and packaging plants in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

The branch-specific simulation system developed by the IKA Dresden is used for the modeling, simulation and animation of the process behavior of processing plants. It is an effective tool in the analysis and optimization of complex plants of consumer goods production and packaging as well as in the fields of food and beverage, animal feed, textile and paper, plastics and wood, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Furthermore, the IKA Dresden informs about its extensive activities in the field of analysis and optimization of complex manufacturing and packaging systems, in particular on the methodology used and the handling of such projects.
Another focus is the presentation of the complete service portfolio of SimPlan AG such as the possibilities of simulation in the areas of logistics and intralogistics, 3D simulation as well as virtual commissioning. In plant engineering, this is becoming a success factor, since it enables testing of control software (PLC, MES, MFR) prior to the actual commissioning on site and thus reducing commissioning risk and commissioning times. The presentation was completed by the live demonstration of the synergy between simulation and the latest VR technologies, respectively the HTC-Vive glasses.
