Most successful business year of the simulation service provider SimPlan
The SimPlan Group closed the business year 2008 with the highest turnover since its foundation in 1992. The total turnover amounted to 6 million Euro. This corresponds to an increase of 20% compared to the previous year’s result.
The restructuring initiated in 2006 with the aim of establishing a complete range of simulation services for production and logistics has thus proven to be the right decision. With now 50 employees SimPlan meets the increased order volume and is one of the largest providers of simulation services in Germany.
For 2009, SimPlan expects a decline in orders in the automotive and automotive supplier industries. “However, we expect to be able to compensate for this in other industries due to our sector-neutral positioning. For example, through new orders from the renewable energy sector.”, Dr. Sven Spieckermann, member of the board of SimPlan AG, assesses the development for 2009. “In many areas, our services are an important contribution to overcoming corporate crises. We are therefore quite confident about this year,” adds Dirk Wortmann, board member of SimPlan AG.
In addition to the personnel expansion, another important step is the fundamental overhaul of the company’s website. The new website does justice to the focus on the core business of simulation services and software sales and gives customers the opportunity to contact the SimPlan experts quickly and in a targeted manner.
