SimPlan presents emulation project on PLC level at LogiMAT

The SimPlan Group will present itself at LogiMAT 2009 as a full-range provider for the simulation of production and logistics processes. At booth no. 145 in hall 5, the simulation experts will present possible applications of simulation and advise all interested parties on simulation tools and related services, such as training and software implementation. In addition to the well-known simulation tools such as AutoMod, Plant Simulation and Enterprise Dynamics, visitors will also have the opportunity to find out about more specialized applications.

A special highlight this year is the presentation of the first large emulation project on PLC level with the tool Emulate3D, which comes from the Demo3D family.
For example, BSS put the subordinate control system through its paces during the realization of the new order picking system for the company E/D/E – with resounding success, as BSS confirms:
“We are convinced that we have reduced the commissioning time by 20-30% with the help of the Emulate3D control tests. In addition, the tests contributed to a remarkably relaxed relationship with the client.” After all, the order picking system includes a 12-aisle miniload with 14 picking locations in the first construction stage.

The company integral logistics GmbH & Co. KG also relies fully on Demo3D with its new digital planning methodology. The aim is to model and animate logistics facilities in 3D as early as the rough planning stage and then to continue using the models through the tendering process to realization. This is expected to result in an optimized planning process with improved planning quality at the same time.
