SimPlan to present innovative simulation solutions at LogiMAT 2018

Simulation expert SimPlan will offer several innovative new products at the next LogiMAT, in addition to its extensive service and software portfolio:

With “Demo3D for Machine Builders”, SimPlan presents the first CAD-integrated simulation solution. The software solution, created by the English manufacturer Emulate3D, enables machine builders to directly simulate their CAD-designed systems. This eliminates the complex transition from design to simulation. Everything can be done in one system.

The SimPath analysis tool, which is based on the Plant Simulation software, supports planners and operators in evaluating the material flows in complex materials handling systems. For this purpose, data from the real system can be read in and the movements of the conveyed goods can be traced and evaluated with visual support using a 3D animation of past processes. For example, the routing of individual containers as well as the total volume of line loads in a logistics system can be analyzed over time in order to identify potential bottlenecks and develop solutions for them.

With the versions SimVSM Basic and SimVSM Expert, SimPlan now provides two apps in the Apple and Microsoft app stores with which value stream modeling (VSM, Value Stream Mapping) can be digitized. The SimVSM app provides the functions of a clipboard, paper and stopwatch in a contemporary form on a tablet. The modeled value streams can be transferred to a simulation server in the Expert version of the app in order to get key figures such as lead times or inventories, taking into account the dynamic interactions, on the mobile device within seconds.
