Insights from the ASIM Conference 2021 – Simulation Expertise by SimPlan
On the occasion of the ASIM symposium “Simulation in Production and Logistics” from September 15-17, 2021 in Erlangen, Germany, the Working Group Simulation (ASIM) again awards two outstanding final theses (diploma, master or bachelor) in the field of simulation in production and logistics.
The prize for Event Discrete Simulation is – as already in 2019 – sponsored by SimPlan and Incontrol (see picture from 2019).
The prize is endowed with 1.000 €. The award winners will report on their work at the conference. The prize therefore additionally includes the conference fee and a lump sum of 500 € to cover travel and accommodation costs. Furthermore, membership in ASIM is free of charge in the year of the award ceremony and in the two following years.
The submitted works must meet the following criteria:
- The submission date of the thesis must be between 01.04.2019 and 31.03.2021.
- A confirmation of the grade of the written final thesis must be submitted with the submission.
- The thesis must have a clear reference to the subject area of the department.
- The thesis must be written in German or English
The award winners must agree that the thesis is published on the ASIM Conference website or prove that it is published in another way that makes it permanently accessible.
The paper can be submitted via the supervising university teacher or a member of the ASIM Expert Group. Complete applications should be sent to the chairman of the jury (award@asim-fachtagung-spl.de) by 30.04.2021, who is also available for further questions. Applications received after the deadline cannot be considered. The work itself must be submitted in electronic form by e-mail with a completed submission form and complete attachments.
