More InformationThis simulation study shows the result of the project for Erwin Müller Versandhaus GmbH. TGW Systems Integration GmbH planned a new logistics system as an extension, for which SimPlan was to create a simulation model to support the planning process.
The task included the creation of a simulation study to support the planning process. The expansion of the system was modelled in detail, including the shuttle warehouse, picking, incoming and outgoing goods. In addition, the corresponding control strategies of the individual areas were integrated into the simulation to ensure a realistic and precise analysis.
The study was aimed at supporting and optimising the planning processes. The focus was on determining key figures such as throughput, capacity utilisation and throughput times under dynamic conditions. In addition, the effects of changes to parameters and structures were to be made visible in order to enable well-founded decisions to be made in the further course of the project.
The simulation solution offers comprehensive functions for detailed inventory, space and shuttle management, enabling precise control and monitoring of the warehouse. It also supports detailed order management based on data for future scenarios, in order to better reflect future requirements and developments. High-performance software tools such as Plant Simulation 16.0, SimSuite Logistic and SimAssist are used to implement these functions, ensuring flexible and dynamic modelling of logistics processes.
Die Simulationsstudie ermöglichte die Verifikation der Systemleistung, wodurch sichergestellt wurde, dass das geplante System die geforderten Anforderungen erfüllt. Zudem wurden Strategien optimiert, um die Effizienz der Abläufe zu maximieren.
