7th LeanAroundTheClock – Class Reunion of the LEAN Community
The organisers confidently describe the LATC as “the class meeting of the #germanLEANcommunity” and they are certainly right. The focus of the event is the entire range of the 10 design principles of lean management. This includes in particular principle 10: “Attitude and culture change in the company”.
As SimPlan AG, we are once again taking part in LeanAroundTheClock as an exhibitor and presenting our app SimVSM.
Up to now, value streams have often been documented and analysed analogue in paper form or purely statically, based on snapshots and aggregated average values. With the SimVSM value stream analysis app, value streams are recorded and processed in a modern way via touch operation on mobile end devices as well as in a desktop application.
In addition to static analyses, users can also use the integrated workflow to dynamically evaluate the digital value streams by means of a material flow simulator. In this way, not only isolated, average cycle times and workloads are considered, but also dynamic system correlations including random influences. On-time delivery, process utilisation, bottleneck analysis, throughputs, warehouse levels and throughput times (as simulation results) are clearly visualised over time.
The possibility of creating different scenarios and directly comparing the results facilitates the evaluation of the different value stream variants. In addition to the extended hosting offer for the server side with SimVSM Pro, we are also introducing cloud simulation via the app stores next summer.
