Lectures at Anuga food fair: New ways to save resources and increase efficiency
For well-known reasons, Anuga FoodTec has been postponed. The international food technology fair will take place as a “Special Edition” on 26-29 April 2022 in a new hybrid form: A mixture of a compact attendance fair and the digital platform Anuga FoodTec@home.
On Tuesday, 26 April 2022, Karsten Beyer from the SimPlan branch in Dresden, together with Mr Weiß from Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, will give a presentation on the innovation project “Economically evaluated and simulation-supported procedure model for the reduction of losses in set-up and cleaning processes of manufacturing and packaging plants for food (VoReVe )”. This project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
The trend towards increasingly individualised products and smaller production batches continues. This is associated with increasingly frequent set-up and cleaning phases. While conventional optimisation focuses on shortening the set-up time, the project supported by PTBLE not only achieves this, but also relevant resource savings during the often very lengthy run-in phase after set-up. This was made possible by an interdisciplinary team of frozen food producers, specialist service providers and the university. The method is transferable to a wide range of applications.
