SimPlan at the Plant User Meeting in Amsterdam
We are pleased to announce our participation in the Plant User Meeting at Realize LIVE Europe 2025. The event will take place from 30 June to 2 July 2025 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Lufthansa Cargo – Simulation of the new cargo centre in Frankfurt
As part of a simulation project with Lufthansa Cargo at Frankfurt Airport, SimPlan has supported the planning of efficient and future-proof processes for air cargo handling. The complex processes of the Lufthansa Cargo Center – a logistics hub where 284,000 shipments and 16,000 tonnes of freight are moved every week – were analysed using plant simulation. The simulation enabled the identification of potential bottlenecks and the development of optimal solutions to ensure efficient and scalable logistics.

Virtual commissioning and simulation in the wood industry
In this presentation, we show how SimPlan has supported HOLTEC, a global supplier of systems for the wood industry, with virtual commissioning. Using a real project, we explain the advantages of virtual commissioning as a planning aid and demonstrate the seamless integration of various Siemens software tools, including the TIA Portal. We also address challenges that can arise when combining a simulation model with the virtual commissioning of a PLC.
