Why should we have the simulation done by an external service provider?
Why can’t the plant supplier simulate it? Harry Kestenbaum, Director Sales & Marketing: “In many of our projects the simulation is done by or on behalf of the supplier or by the supplier himself, which is of course also in his interest and that is exactly one of the points how one has to answer this question. Of course, the supplier has his trade and his scope of delivery in mind and will therefore also carry out the simulation with this focus.
If, of course, the customer also wants to consider peripheral areas that may not be part of the scope of delivery, but which influence this trade or the process, then this can lead to conflicts of objectives.
For this reason, we naturally recommend to our customers that they take the simulation sovereignty into their own hands, then they will have the sovereignty over the processes as well as the goals and the data that flow in. Moreover, it does not usually mean any cost savings. The costs will flow directly or indirectly into the project and will have to be borne by the end customer. In this respect, our clear recommendation is: come to us directly.”
