SimPlan AG takes over jasima Solutions
As of now, jasima Solutions is part of SimPlan AG: With the acquisition of the company based in Bremen, SimPlan is continuing to drive research and development in material flow simulation. The software jasima extends the product portfolio of the largest simulation service provider in Europe with new functions that enable users to simulate the fine-tuning of complex production systems in real-time. The number of SimPlan AG locations in Germany is now growing to nine.
The two simulation experts, Torsten Hildebrandt and Dirk Steinhauer, are assuming the management of the Bremen site. Hildebrandt was the managing director of jasima Solutions. He headed the research project under the same name at the Bremen Institute for Production and Logistics at the University of Bremen and initiated the founding of jasima. Dirk Steinhauer, who was most recently the head of the simulation division of the Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft, has developed a simulation library, which is now used as a standard tool in European shipbuilding and in large shipyards in Korea and Singapore.
“In the future, we will integrate Bremen and jasima Solutions as a research location into our company group. In the heart of Northern Germany, we are further expanding our expertise in the maritime industry. We are thus addressing the needs of our customers and future-oriented perspectives in simulation technology, “explains Dr. Sven Spieckermann, co-founder and CEO of SimPlan AG.
Java Simulator for Manufacturing and Logistics
With the simulation software Java Simulator for Manufacturing and Logistics (short: jasima), SimPlan not only extends its product portfolio, the solution can also be integrated into existing software products. Jasima enables customers to simulate the scheduling of complex production systems in real-time, e.g. the effects of order sequence changes.
This minimizes machine downtimes, increases utilization and improves the throughput time of production orders. At a low cost, a significant increase in efficiency in production can be achieved.
